It’s true that the first time I saw you, your grin must have completely thrown my world into chaos since I got so distracted with my thoughts that I was convinced I’d slid and fallen right onto the concrete in front of you! I think you could say that I’ve been head over heels in love with you since the beginning of our relationship! Even though I am fully aware that this is a ridiculous idea, I would gladly walkabout with my shoelaces loosened every day for the rest of my life merely to illustrate how many times I would trip and fall. I’m certain that in a prior incarnation, I was a philanthropist who donated whatever they had earned during their whole life to charity organizations. If I wanted to avoid having a major personal environmental impact, I needed to be self-sufficient. Hundreds of animals have likely been saved from trees and newborns from swerving strollers throughout my years of expertise. There is no other explanation for why I would have been given someone as beautiful and special in this life, so it is reasonable to assume that I was a saint or anything along those lines. In my previous life, a million thank you cards were waiting for me, and I had a plethora of people who had helped me get to where I am today to express my gratitude.

My ability to move through life with the deepest real delight in my heart now is owing to their support and encouragement. Through them, I was introduced to someone who I can only describe as the greatest delight of my life. As a result of their efforts, I now get the opportunity to laugh with them daily, for which I am eternally grateful. A gift like that — the ability to feel on top of the world at all times — is the biggest present that a man could ever receive in his life.
